Applied project / Competitive research + digital presence

Research into a clearer
business presence.

For Protbyte, I connected competitor research, website messaging and design, search visibility work and LinkedIn implementation.

Website: original to redesigned prototype

Redesigned Protbyte prototype with the refined logo, engineer photograph and clearer headline
Redesigned prototype: clearer hierarchy, refined branding and an engineer-led hero. This image records the redesigned prototype. The website has since been deployed; visit the live site to review the current version.

LinkedIn: a cover aligned with the business

Original LinkedIn cover showing a laptop and coffee cup
Before: a generic laptop-and-coffee cover.
Published navy and cyan Protbyte LinkedIn cover reading Design. Build. Secure. Network, Cloud, Security engineering
Published update: a navy-and-cyan cover with clear service messaging, supported by an updated tagline, About section, specialties and project inquiry link.

Evidence: website and LinkedIn changes are inspectable. This was competitor-informed design and implementation, not a participant study; traffic, engagement and inquiry lift have not yet been measured.

From the brief to a checked implementation

01

Define the problem

Protbyte needed a clearer account of its IT and security infrastructure offer, with connected service navigation, resources and an inquiry path. I set the brief: use the existing service content, preserve the brand identity and make the next step easy to find.

02

Direct the AI workflow

I directed AI-supported competitor comparisons, prototyping, content organization and HTML implementation. I chose Presidio as the main design reference, with ideas from AHEAD and Centre, and specified what to keep: the logo identity, engineer photography, vendor logos, frameworks and Free Sentinel Scan link.

03

Review and correct AI outputs

I reviewed successive prototypes and rejected unsuitable, watermarked and low-quality hero images. I requested corrections when the engineer photo or branding disappeared. The website work included mobile, page, image and button checks; content revisions stayed within the existing service claims.

04

Make decisions

I chose a left-text/right-engineer hero, recognizable vendor logos with a separate framework row, clearer service links and a direct inquiry flow. I aligned LinkedIn with the website. These choices addressed the brief and established a consistent website and LinkedIn presentation.

Ownership and tools

My role and AI contribution

My role
I set the brief, selected references, directed revisions and decided what to retain or change across the website and LinkedIn.
AI contribution
AI assisted research, drafting, prototype and code changes, asset preparation and checks. I used connected tools to move the work into the website and supporting project files.
Evidence and checks
Prototype revisions, before-and-after captures and the live website show the work.

My contribution

From comparisons to implementation.
