Inside the work sample / October 13, 2026

When a completed event still looks open

Observed: the hackathon homepage still used “Live now” and entry actions after its July deadline.

Why it matters: a new visitor could mistake a completed competition for an open call.

Recommended: show “2026 challenge completed,” make winners easy to find and separate next-event interest from registration.

Dated expert self-review of a website I built. This is a sample of an annotated finding, not participant-test evidence or a claim about the website today.

01 / Understand

Research & Strategy

Use research to clarify the problem, understand alternatives and decide what to do next.

Start with a question worth answering.

  • Competitive research: sourced comparisons, market context and decision-focused briefs.
  • UX reviews: a bounded website or flow, annotated observations, severity priorities and recommendations.
  • Positioning and naming: clearer messaging, differentiation and brand direction.
  • Research and AI advisory: evidence and practical recommendations around a defined business or emerging-technology question.

02 / Improve

Websites & Digital Presence

Turn what we learn into a clearer website and a consistent presence across search and LinkedIn.

Make the business easier to understand and discover.

  • Websites and prototypes: messaging, design, implementation, navigation and contact flows.
  • SEO and GEO: website reviews, existing-content improvements, internal links, entity consistency and technical discovery signals.
  • LinkedIn and social media: company-page messaging, covers, branded graphics and content.
  • Ongoing digital support: agreed updates, search-performance review and an organized handover.

Content, usability and discovery work are scoped around your existing materials and goals. Search rankings, AI citations and business results are measured separately.

03 / Deliver

Workshops & Program Production

Teach practical skills and coordinate the people, communications and delivery behind a program.

Accessible education and coordinated program delivery.

  • AI education workshops: practical AI basics, everyday uses, accuracy, privacy and trust, adapted to the audience.
  • Hackathon and program production: scope, milestones, partnerships, participant communications, judging operations and awards delivery.
  • Community and program operations: agreed responsibilities for communications, coordination and ongoing support.
  • Supporting work: program websites, photography and brand or communication assets within an agreed scope.

I was Lead Producer for the global hackathon Call for Code AI: United Against Trafficking. The project record describes how I connected the program, website, partnerships, participant communications, judging operations and awards event.

Workshop experience · Austin AI Hub × Capital City Village

Practical AI education, built around everyday questions.

On September 16, I led an AI Education Workshop with Austin AI Hub and Capital City Village, an organization that helps older adults live independently and stay connected. I built the connection with Capital City Village and helped make the session engaging and accessible.

We introduced AI basics and explored everyday tasks, including understanding confusing letters and drafting emails. Participants brought questions about accuracy, privacy and trust, alongside their own experiences using AI. Their questions helped shape the discussion around what mattered to them.

Working together

A clear scope, a useful handoff.

  1. Share the problem. Send your website or program, main goal, timeline and available materials.
  2. Agree on the work. We define the deliverables, access, responsibilities, review points and fee before work begins.
  3. Review and hand off. Receive the agreed work, documented next steps and an organized handover.

I have 10–15 hours per week available for remote freelance work, including meetings and administration. Timelines are confirmed against scope and current commitments.
